Dilge Dakman - PhD Student

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Bahcesehir University in Istanbul and my Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology at Birkbeck University in London.

Now I am doing my PhD in Social Psychology in the field of civil safety research. During my work with crowds, I noticed that previous studies have mainly analysed video footage of experiments with large groups without taking sound into account. Therefore, the focus of my PhD is on analysing how acoustic information, in addition to visual material, influences the perception and understanding of crowds. To answer this question, I will first conduct studies in which different acoustic scenarios are shown in addition to the video footage of existing crowd experiments in order to analyse participants' reactions to the video and audio material.
